If you are considering using any of my services, please keep in mind the terms that are in place. They are here to protect both the client and the artist and violation of any of these terms will result in a discontinuation of any and all projects.
Section 1: General
- All prices on all project types are set, final and non-negotiable. If I am not within your budget, please look elsewhere.
- Be in consistent communication with the artist*; you have seventy-five (75) days from the initial start date of your commission project to reply to the artist, or you will lose your slot and the artist will not proceed
- All and every commission type must have references and a brief description (one or two paragraphs)
- all commission types are for Personal Use ONLY (see Section 4 for definition of personal use)
Section 2: Rights of the Artist
The artist has the right to:
- display commission work as their own (does not apply with commercial pieces; a fee may apply)
- use artwork/writing pieces as a means of self-promotion including posting them on any existing social media platforms.
- reject any commission request without explanation or reason (common reasons would be if: the artist feels she cannot meet the expectations of skill level (complexity), out of bounds of things that she will not do, etc.)
- ask the client for permission to produce physical prints for resale (the client may decline)
- cancel an ongoing commission piece with a client due to lack of communication, hostility with the artist, and/or reasons that may be stated.
Section 3: Payments and Refund Policy
- Once the artist has reached your slot, you will be charged 50% of the total commission fee (this includes add-ons, commercial fees, etc.). This guarantees your place in the starting process.
- 25% of the total fee is non-refundable, so keep that in mind before filling out the application for a commission.
- All payments are done through Stripe and in Canadian Dollar (CAD).
- If the client decides to cancel their commission for any reason you are allowed a refund as follows:
- the sketch phase; 75% of the total fee will be refunded upon request
- the base colouring phase; 50% of the total fee will be refunded upon request
- line art phase; 25% of the total fee will be refunded upon request
- If the commission has entered the rendering/painting stage or for writing commissions the final draft stage, the refund policy is null and void; meaning that no refund will be distributed if the client decides to back out or does not respond within 30 days.
Section 4: The Process
- The client is also allowed to opt out of any progress photos if they wish, but communication between the client and the artist must be consistent between stages/phases.
- During the sketch phase, you are allotted 3-4 revisions (depending on complexity) and major changes.
- After the colouring/rendering phase, you are allotted 2 minor changes. Once the final render and effects are laid out, the piece is considered finalized and there will be no more changes added or allowed to the piece.
- if the client insist on adding more changes there will be an additional fee added to the total price.
- The final product will be sent to the client via Dropbox in .png format for download and will have 60 days (2 months) to download the piece before it is discarded from Dropbox altogether.
